I would like to clarify that this should NOT be the ONLY website you use as a coaching resource. There are plenty of good soccer related websites out there with some very good information on them, and you should choose which is best for you. We are here to add to your library of resources and hopefully you will enjoy the activities, education, and articles that we will continue to add to this website as the months go on.

First things first... RELAX

Alright so you have never played soccer or coached children before; that's ok, we all have to start somewhere. You are at least showing some initiative right now by coming to this website to see if we can help you.

Yes! We all get nervous when we do anything for the first time, but we soon get over the butterflies in our stomachs. If you are a U6 Coach, start by going to the Coaching U6 Players page and if you are a U8 coach, start by going to the Coaching U8 Players page.

If you have not already done so, you may want to check with your local town and/or state as to whether they offer a Novice Clinic (for new coaches and parents) or the Youth Module Clinics (Age Specific Education). Each State should be offering some type of coaching education for its membership, and believe me you are never to old to learn. I personally go away for training at least twice a year just to keep up on all the latest developments in youth soccer. If you are not sure of the URL for your state association you can always check out the US Youth Soccer website.
